Our New Name The name has changed but the goals are the same. The Board of Directors approved the organization's name change from the Frontier Education Center to the National Center for Frontier Communities in the spring of 2006. The change was made to reflect more accurately the organization's work in support of our nation's smallest and most geographically isolated communities. We remain the only national organization dedicated to the issues and concerns of frontier communities.
